About CMT

GAMA supports the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) accreditation process, believing it will soon be formally recognized locally and regionally. GAMA members can currently acquire the CMT accrediation.

What is the CMT?
The Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation is awarded to candidates who demonstrate proficiency in a broad range of technical analysis of the financial markets. It is made up of an educational component, and experience requirement, an ethics requirement, and a membership requirement. It is also the only examination for Technical Analysts that qualifies as a Series 86 exemption.
